Ever single time I see a tweet about an injury in the NBA, I look up this channel on Youtube! I'm in medical school right now and I hope to be like you someday Dr. Sutterer!
  • Really happy you’re explaining this injury. There needs to be more research into it especially for amateur athletes. It took me months to find a doctor who understood this type of condition and even then insurance is difficult because surgical procedures don’t have enough data behind them so they consider them “experimental”
  • I've heard that Damian's injury was caused by improper training methods. Damian hired a personal trainer who had him working out in a way that caused pain to his abdominal and weakening his core. The workouts consist of twisting motion with weight and boxing.

Dame's body finally giving up after hard carrying the trail blazers. Man deserves a break

Thanks Doc! I appreciate the sharing of research articles for our own reading!
  • @Asoboo
Great explanation, was really hoping you would make a video on this injury. Hope Dame gets well soon!
  • Thanks for the upload Brian! I couldn't remember your channel a couple days ago as I was searching for it to see if you had done a video on Damian's tendinopathy as I had a hunch you would be doing one soon.
  • Very well explained. Now I understand better this type of injury and I can explain to my patients much better. Thank you
  • @etmr

This was great! I'm a Blazer fan, Dame is my dude... and, I didn't really know what was up with the ab issues be had until now!? So, thank you for covering a wide variety of athletes, and topics. Also, great explanation! Really appreciate your channel! Cheers!

When I was playing hockey in college I had a true hernia with defect on the right. When they went in they found that a good part of my inguinal crease was also shredded. They fixed both with mesh. That seemed to be the best case solution as I returned to practice 7 days post surgery and played 12 days post surgery.
  • @kujaneck
This helped as i have some abdominal strain from playing football. Thanks

I know you talked about M. Morris injury (from Jokic) but was wondering if you could talk about how he’s been out for so long. Love your videos!
