It wasn’t a bad game, I mean… 33 SHOTS! Bobrovsky stole this from us.

Scary to think that Florida played terrible and they shut out Edmonton, just like I thought would happen. Even Mick David and Draisatl will be shaking their head this series with Bob in the nets.

As a Panthers fan, I’ve not missed a game in four years, this was perhaps the worst game they’ve played all season, definitely their worst game of the playoffs. Game 2 will look nothing like game 1.

Oilers were great. They didn't get the bounces tonight. AT this level, bounces are big. Study Bobrovsky, find the weakness and come up with a way to score on him. The Oilers can beat these guys!!!

The Oilers played an excellent game. Even though they won, the Panthers will have to raise their level of play or the Oilers will win the cup. And I'm a Panthers fan.

On one end of the ice hockey rink we saw an above average goaltender, and on the other we saw a below average/mediocre Skinner (0.88 SV%) and a $9 million Nurse who had the worst +/- record in the NHL during playoff games = ( - 15). 🤑Hope we will see some goals from McDavid and Co.😇

Florida is stagnating ……they didn’t play their game but brbrovsky bailed them today….Fla needs to stop taking bad penalties and they will be in good shape

This was def the Cats worse game of the series. The Oilers played well but honestly, I think they played to their abilities.

How were 25 and 5 back together? They were meh against LA, and horrible against Van and Dallas, at what point is the sample size, which could be pushed into the last 2 seasons, enough to realize they blow. Florida only needs to play 43 minutes if 25-5 play for 17 cause they can’t get the puck out of their own zone.

imagine these Oilers might get swept by those mighty Panthers : ) things are not looking good at all. 🙏 Though it is not over till it is over, these oilers would need a lot of miracles to pull this one off.

Once I heard Drake was betting 500kon the Oilers, I no longer want them to win. I would rather have Drake lose money.

I like your take here, Oilers must focuse on winning 5-5 you're not always going to get that call in a fast game like Hockey.

I 100% agree with the faceoffs thing. It was so bad in Vancouver, it needs to get better. That said Our possession numbers were decent. Our shot total is indicative of that. I'm not sure if the high danger chance percentage, but I'm willing to bet we didn't do horribly there either. We were good defensively and offensively. Good offence won't best Bobrovsky most nights and good defense wont prevent Barkov or Tkachuk from generating offense. We need to be great both defensively and offensively if we are going to have a chance at the cup. They are a more well rounded team, it's just the reality of the situation.

All this postive talk after the game about 'math and numbers' so called fancy stats. A loss is still a loss. Hope for a better game #2.

I noticed also the Oilers were trying to sell calls! The Rangers were also trying to sell calls and that is a losing formula! You don’t win a fight by trying to sell a flop! Play hockey!
