🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  • I love how the son described being adopted. "Someone gave me life, but they have let me live it" (paraphrased) That was the best way I've heard someone pay tribute to their adoptive parents. Beautiful.
  • “Someone gave me life, but my parents gave me the opportunity to live it” Wow what a profound statement.
  • This has to be one of my top 3 videos. The way Sonny just connects and cracking up with the whole family. You could tell him and Jacob would have been good friends 😂
  • @mattn6685
Sonny is not just a food reviewer and content creator, he's also a phenomenal cultural ambassador. Love how he allows us to get to know the people on such a personal level as well. Thank you, Sonny, keep up the great work! 👏👏
  • Ohh Man. That last part when you ask Jacob about being adopted, that was intense. And his answer was absolutely emotional. That's why we love you Sonny. You not only show us about food and culture, you also make us emotional with these things by asking about their personal life and stuff related to them. You always give us inspiration Sonny. You are an absolutely amazing man. Love you Sonny and team. 🥰
  • @liliumjade
That convo about whale balls 😂 I always admire Sonny's natural ability to connect with people.
  • @JChris143
This guy is super respectful and that’s really important good on ya mate
  • You and the son had great chemistry, you need to invite him to host a side series and get his reaction of different dishes around the world as you do but with the added chemistry, that would make a great show!
  • @lM-zr5vu
Nice to see this young man respecting his parents, and appreciating their efforts.
  • @enceladus1393
I lived with a guy from the Faroe Islands when I went to Bording school, he once got a package of dried fish and whale; all the other guys in our house despised it and couldn't handle the smell but I absolutely loved it. Isak if you see this, miss you buddy and thanks for giving me an experience I still think back on years later!
  • @DDDawn23
Jacob seems like a wonderful person, I want to have a husband like him one day. His wife and kids are beautiful and his story is so heartwarming. Loved this personal story of the family.
  • Wow...I didn't expect that. Food and life story sharing. This a great team of content creator. It's not just the food but also the people who prepare it. Sonny really knows how to put chemistry between him and the folks around him.
  • @kmorris180
That was the coolest ending. I really like when you don't only talk about the food, you give the viewers an opportunity to get to know the people who live wherever you take us.
  • @ryanb7110
Very happy for Jacob, he's able to love and appreciate who gave him birth but also appreciates and loves who his parents are.
  • So proud of you Sonny!!!! To go from feeling lost to finding yourself in adventure, you deserve all the greatness that comes your way. Been watching a long time, big fan! ❤️
  • Almost cried when the son talked about his parents was easily the most beautiful and profound moments I’ve seen in a long time
