The reason I like your fabrication style is because it just seems to make sense to me. When you make something that other guys would spend 10 times the amount of time on,with great results, it's obvious who I need to be learning from.

Excellent workmanship! If you're embarrassed about using a template just tell yourself it's CAD: "cardboard aided design".

A little tip for others. When you are making a panel over top of the original and you have access to the back, drill some holes in the original piece so that you can check that the new panel is flush from behind with the original. Otherwise, you are only able to check that it matches at the edge of the panel. It’s a simple alternative to making station templates.

another great job. I have sometimes not cut out enough bad metal and keep 'blowing through' til I have to add another piece of metal. Sorry, but it is good to see that I'm not the only one it happens to. Thanks for sharing
