I have the ducks as well but can't recommend them. They will bend with even 7,5J because the metal is so cheap. I recommend getting a few spoons and hang them on a stick so they can spin. Cheaper and they will not bend, even after a few thousand rounds.

Take a 2p coin and the paper caps we all used to use in our cap guns, not the plastic things but the rolls of red paper with the hundreds of small dots. Wrap tightly round the coin about a dozen times. Use a piece of sellotape to bind it all together. Et Voila, cheap reactive targets with a bang and smoke.

This brings back a memory from when I was teaching my young nephew to shoot many years ago and we were using polos to shoot through the hole. I showed him how it was done over and over again and he kept saying wow I hope I can shoot like you one day. Little did he know I was purposely missing because for one I’d even struggle to get a string of them to set the bar, but it it kept him amused for hours or until he’d shot every pellet I had. And do you know I don’t think I’ve ever told him yet nearly 30 years later, sometimes I’d clip one just to look as if I was aiming for the hole but funny nevertheless.

I would inform all my neighbours about the exploding blanks. Give them some rough days when it takes place and perhaps a time frame. People get grumpier when they're nervous or kept out the loop. Better still invite some over to have a try.
  • Firebird exploding targets will put a smile on anyone’s face!!!! 😎👍🏻👍🏻
  • I like using extra strong mints, cheap satisfying and as challenging as the beer bottle top challenge. Have a great Friday all.

The possibilities are endless, right. You forgot the lollipops lol.
  • @Life_a_bike
Those ducks rejected all your pallets 😂😂
  • Make your own shoot n c by getting some card, yellow preferebly, some wide sellotape, and a can of black matte spray paint, tape over completely the card then spray it black, when dry, draw by scratching cirles and a bullseye, saves a lot of money as the shoot n c are around £12, for 10 targets, doing it my way gets you 36 for a few quid

Those cheep nasty cherry tomatoes for a quid for around 20 are the best targets in the world. some BBq sticks in the ground and pop these on them. I set dozens at all different range. Great fun
  • Oh man! This was a good video! Allkinda nice targets! The pellet catching duck box though, apparently only catches the missed pellets..😁 But box targets like it and the likes are always nice to have. I've though mostly made my own targets n boxes. Got a string resettable box with 6pcs of 60mm plates to shoot down. Quite large targets yes, but it's mostly for close range replica rifle and pistol plinking rather than for real target work.. The Reign.. A very nice pick for this video. I really want one for myself too. A massive thanks to Andy and crew for yet another sweet video for my Friday morning mug of coffee..

The snooker one looks superb!! Great video Andy.
  • @007tallguy
Great video Andy, lots of cool targets! 👍 For a couple more ideas: sidewalk chalk is good stuff! It's very easy to cut into smaller slices (any kind of small handsaw will work) and its no problem to tell if you've hit it. Also empty shotshells are good for plinking at and are virtually free, just grab them from a skeet shoot. 👍😉 Everyone have a great weekend and happy and safe shooting! Pete 🇨🇦
  • @YrkAirGnr
Another great video, highlighting the fun aspects of the hobby, doesn't always need to be about serious range shooting or vermin control! Thanks again and keep up the amazing work! 👍
  • Exploding blanks bottle got me. Now i have to try that. Thanks Andy!
  • Ring pull tin lids are good targets. Bend the ring pull to a right angle from the lid and stand it on the ring pull. They do get damaged and need replacing frequently, but they are free so no problem.
