Sorcerland Playthrough Pt. 3.5 || Secret Character Oboro

I made a mistake! Read the description if you're curious as to what I did.

Name: ソーサランド

Sorcerland is a fun little game about a trio of crossdressing animals fighting robots that are attempting to take over the world. I bought this game several years ago, when the developer was still active, but he hasn't updated since 2014. I'm kind of worried this game will be abandonware, though it pretty much is by now.

After episode 3, I decided to grind out the hidden character, as well as buy the powerups that I had been skipping. The requirements are simple; 49,500 gems are needed to buy 99 cakes from a shop in the second zone's city, and bringing the 99 cakes to Oboro is level 1-2 in the hidden area. We find out that, despite being the guardian of the forest, she's easily swayed by LOTS of cake. She decides to join our adventure as a result, leaving a clever and intimidating substitute in her place to keep the forest safe from invaders while she is gone. After recruiting Oboro, you can proceed to the shop to the right of her and buy four new moves; Sword Whip for Alines, Asterisk Blast for Rabina, Buster Cannon for Machina, and Konkon Kyaku for Oboro. After unlocking her, I quit the level and gave her a whirl. She controls similarly to Alines, but with a few key differences; she has a five-hit combo instead of three hits, she dashes faster, and her attacks have a wider range. She has a very versatile moveset that makes her incredibly fun to play. However, she is absurdly strong, and her ability to make enemies ignore her is pretty unfair. I won't use her very often for this reason. Plus, I like my little blue bro Alines more.

The most major thing you may notice before I unlock Oboro is that I can Double Jump; turns out I could've bought that early on, and I totally missed it. Unless something happens that requires me changing abilities, I'll be using Double Jump and Gem Collector (more money from defeated enemies). I did this offscreen because I didn't want to grind on video; that's boring to watch. All of the abilities are as follows (you can see all of them when I am setting up Oboro);

Row 1:
1. Guard (Down + Dash, blocks attacks)
2. Gem Collector - More money from enemies
3. Defense Up - Huge reduction in damage taken
4. Double Jump - Self-explanatory
5. Increase Speed - Huge boost to movement speed
Row 2:
1. Counter - Down + Dash, can unleash a counter attack if attacking when blocking
2. Magic Booster - Increased MP recovery rate
3.Drink Up - Carry 10 items instead of 5 per life
4. Surprise Attack - Boosts damage when low on MP
5. ???

I don't know what the 10th one is. We'll see it soon enough in Episode 4, most likely. Also worth note is that three of my character abilities show up now; that is because of a pair of powerups I bought that lets me switch between moves at any time during a level. Of course, I'll most likely stick to the same moves for each character, but hey; it provides options without having to leave the level, right? I did make a pretty bad mistake again though; I intended to save the video for much later, but I accidentally overwrote my main save instead of making a new one. So, that's why the Oboro unlock is Episode 3.5, and not a post-game thing! I did not progress in the story for this video, so don't worry.
