This is a short reading from the book "Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist."
Jesus is the Lamb of God, the fulfillment of the lamb that had to be eaten by the Israelites in order for their first born sons not to be killed. We too have to eat the lamb in order for us not to suffer eternal death. That lamb is Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
