If you look closely at the end, Obi-Wan’s foot was on a pebble, thus giving him the high ground.

I find it fascinating that, after coming back from the battle between Obito and Darth Vader, one big difference is how the Star Wars combatants handled Genjutsu. Seeing the illusion of Padme's face under Obito's mask was enough to make him recoil, while Obiwan was able to ground himself to dispel the illusion.
