Conrail units lead a westbound train, made up of 9 covered hoppers and 143 coal empties (152 cars), across McCoy's Ferry Trestle on the CSX West Subdivision (former WM).

Back in 1978 or 79 we stopped in Cincinnati(Stockyards)B&O terminal. They were just about to put a WM SD40 through the wash rack.(BTW, the first loco I ever see go through the rack was a B&O Alco switcher!) Anyways the WM was a bit dirty and faded. After going through it's bath I was amazed! The colors were amazing. Just like it was new. They them gave it a spin on the turntable. We were taking pic after pic after pic as the water evaporated and the colors began to fade. (It was in red/white/black paint) This was just a couple of years before the roundhouse burnt up. My first trip to Hagerstown was in 1977, saw both BL2s.
