What does it take to go undercover to expose injustices? Inside Edition producer Zara Lockshin was assigned to investigate claims of child labor at businesses owned by a religious sect called the Twelve Tribes. She discovered children as young as 6 years old working on the group's farm in Cambridge, N.Y. Lockshin believes her "friendly, open-minded" personality and her age made her a good fit for the assignment. InsideEdition.com's Leigh Scheps (twitter.com/LeighTVReporter) has more.

How terrible, kids working outside instead of sitting in front of a screen.

I started actually working on a farm and getting paid for it when I was 7. I did it voluntarily. People who have never done a day of hard work in there lives. If kids see you working the wanna do what the grown ups do help out. I was leveling the ground for a above ground pool and my 5 year old niece came out and helped. She was so proud of herself and smiling

She’s acting like her life was at risk like she was in Iraq.
  • Kids can work on farms with their families, but making them work to long or with heavy objects that's a different story.

“I don’t know what they would do if they discovered I was a journalist...” You sound like you’re secretly undercover in a cult or something.
  • @SWeeks698
I've done stuff like that every summer. It's called helping your family.
  • @fuelknightmare
This isn't even child labor, this is teaching children responsibility and discipline plain simple.
