  • Amerie never got the letter from Malakai. IM COMING FOR YOU NETFLIX🥴
  • I really loved that they had that storyline for Rowan, the last scene of the show absolutely killed me! I feel so bad for Rowan but the things he did Can’t be justified. Overall this season was a lot better than the first but I’m really going to need Cash and Darren to figure out what their doing because it is giving me a heart attack 😭

spoilers!!! I'm AFAB autistic. the character quinnie felt oddly empty, like she had no actual arc. she was really good in the first season because they showed her autism traits raw and openly, and also gave her a difficult relationship with a non autistic girl, ending it with an argument that a lot of low support needs autistic people might have when navigating love. in this season, she was just there to help eliminate suspects for the bird psycho case. she got bitten by a snake, then she's mysteriously fine and we don't see the mental health issues it takes on her: in fact all quinnie does it lose it all on her friends then run away and say she'll unmask 100%. I actually thought might be empowering to see an autistic person unmask and fell liberated, but instead, this apparently means quinnie needs to be overly honest to the point where she is just being insensitive and brutal to her friends (especial Darren who is super nice to her), and also the underage dr1nking thing was so unnecessary. you don't need to get UTI to feel empowered and have fun as an autistic teenager. There are other ways quinnie could've had fun with unmasking, like hanging out with a new autistic student at the school. they gave her little to no development this season. I'm really annoyed by that.

Opposite for me. The second season started off slow, but ramped it up from about ep 4. Wow, I’ve just finished. I need more Malakai, bring on s3!!
  • I 100% agree with you. It stole my heart as well ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥💖💖💖💖 I would be surprised if they end up coming out with a season 3 😍😍😍😍😍

I personally liked the different creatives used. Like Rowan's sand animation and the filter whenever Quinni went all detective mode. Abd the acting, omg, the cast murdered the script on the last episode.

I mean we kinda got what we needed on Harper in the last episode of season 1, I liked it but I will hate Rowan always

one thing about season 2 which I thought was comparatively better was the dialogue. When I went back and watched season 1, I was shuddering constantly from small awkward conversations etc. Particularly revolving around Dusty. In regards to social dialogue in season 2, I like the overall messaging with regards to "we're all just young people who are trying to be good but make mistakes" was ok but honestly the toxic masculinity commentary was awful. It's not because I don't agree, I wholeheartedly think that there are a lot of issues that come out of the patriarchal society we live in. However, the whole thing was so incredibly over the top to the point of satirisation.

I TOTALLY agree with you about the 1st season being better. I was extremely upset how they handled my sweet baby Quinni🥺 like i feel like they just pushed her to the side and didn't give her anything to work with besides that dumb ass Bird Psycho shit. They didn't give her a new love interest, like someone else said (a new autistic friend which would've been great), and what's worse.......the interaction with Quinni and Darren on Quinni's Bday like WTF??!! We all saw in season 1 how much Darren ADORES Quinni and how much he takes care of her. He would've never said anything so hurtful to her as he did on her Bday. Not to mention he didn't even apologize to her but she ended up apologizing to him 🙄🙄 And don't even get me started on Amerie's ass like i loved her so much better in season 1 but this season......she was UNBEARABLE to me. I don't think I'll watch season 3 if they put 1 out cuz this season really hurt my spirit 💯😞

I'll give this show a try sounds and looks like a promising show

I really didnt like it that much, i felt like it was too much, i wanted it to be the same, and i just wish it was similar to the last one
  • @Grace-ju1gp
Contrarily, I thought the writing this season was brilliant
  • @91clarie
Compared to the 90s original, it's really unrealistic, I don't like it very much

Great show, but does feel a little to "woke" to be fair, got no problem with certain story lines and messages etc but all the stereotypes felt a little weak and unnatural
