Cory couldn’t have been more wrong about the Longines watch. It is no marketing ploy. It is a real US Navy issued deck watch/torpedo boat watch, and is likely to have spent time at sea on a military craft. It could have served as the main timekeeper for a smaller vessel or a comparing watch to carry the time around the ship from the main chronometers aboard a larger ship.

You could tell right away that 1932 Rolex dial was changed because if it had a dial that old it would be heavily carmalized.
