How to easily make wet dry vac hose to PVC pipe adaptors.
Learn just how easy it is to heat and shape PVC into an adaptor that can be used to connect any wet dry vac hose to standard size PVC pipe. These adaptors can be used for a variety of applications including when building a wet dry vac powered shop dust collection system or when using a wet dry vac to suck water out of underground pool filter lines.

  • Holy crap!! Brilliant!! I feel so dumb now. I have been searching for adapters, making makeshift couplers, using ridiculous amounts of tape and silicone...you name it! not one time did I ever think about grabbing my heat gun. Thank you! Months of doing the wrong thing, and the answer was so simple and right in front of my eyes. You are a lifesaver.

This is great in 2 ways. It helps figure out my fittings for dust collection and now I don't feel so bad about how dirty my shop it. Merry Christmas to All.

Thank You ! I'm getting ready to connect up my vac system. I'm getting tired of "house cleaning" after every job, or catching up with that "I'll clean it up after "this" job bad habit I've become much to lazy about !! ..... lol. .... Thanks Again ! You have a new subscriber !!
  • What a great idea. I never knew you could heat PVC up like that (and I have worked with it for years). THANK YOU for that tip.
  • Fantastic idea using a heat gun to manipulate the pvc to the needed diameter. I wish I thought of that!

Hey DIYeastcrafts, thank you so much for taking the time and effort to product this great tutorial on adapting PVC pipe and fittings to shop vac systems. I've spent too much time trying to find fittings to purchase and you've solved my problem.

Clever. Thank you. This is very helpful and I never would have thought of that. Thanks.

Here's another PVC / Heat-gun tip- I took a 3" PVC threaded adapter, set it on my table, and then I set the back-end of the heat gun into it to help hold the heat gun upright. That frees up my hands and heat gun is pretty stable. I actually glued the 3" PVC to a small piece of wood base to make it more stable.
  • Well done very clever I'll be using this technique for my vacuuming needs! πŸ‘
  • Awesome and looks really easy. Going to try it in my shop this week as I set up my system!
