No one can watch the games and say he’s playing 100%, he’s always been a pass first player but I’ve watched a lot of his “highlights” from this year and he’s barely probing the paint. I think he’s still scared, all his shots are coming from three and he circles the perimeter he refuses to go downhill which was actually one of his stronger traits he’d drive and either score or make the right pass. In my opinion he should have red shirted this year due to the cardiac arrest, rehab and then return after a year of mental and physical training. I can clearly see he not in game shape due to time restriction as well as being apprehensive with aggressiveness on both end of the court.

What do u expect an 18 yo with that kind of pressure to come out play. U can tell he’s slowly but most assuredly figuring the game out . He realizes that the player are much faster and stronger than he dealt with in high school but u can tell his I.Q. has start to figure it out . He has slowed the the game down considerably and seems much more relaxed. I’m cheering for the young man and hopes next year his game erupts to another level. His body is getting stronger and faster to deal with that level talent. His hops are already off the planet I hope he gets 2-3 more inches of growth. May not happen but those inches would help him tremendously when he goes to the paint
