Just wanted to point out that the game does have a block/parry system. One of few ways we’ve seen players parry enemy attacks is through a light-heavy combo in Smash Stance, which has a mechanic similar to GP (guard point) in Monster Hunter. “Stone Solid” is another block/parry ability that’s been revealed. In previous demos, it was also shown that certain bosses (like the Macaque Chief) have the ability to parry player attacks as well.

One of the things I don't understand about video games is, since last gen there are fewer and fewer monsters, whether new God of War or Monster Hunter World, there's significantly less variety in the enemies compared to their predecessors, and the situation has worsened in this gen. I'm glad that Wukong chose the difficult path of making many diverse enemies to meet players' needs, wish them a lot of success.

I’m so glad it’s not a soulslike. I just watched a guy play Elden Ring DLC and it looked like mental torture lol. Something more akin to God of War is perfect
