As it begins, one thinks, "Here's another unhappy child-meets-horse and is cured movie." But, stick with it--it's an excellent (and said to be true) story. The 11 year old heroine is a bit weak only in the few scenes calling for sorrow, but she more than makes up for it with her especially graceful posting. The adults all seem to be accomplished actors, with many TV roles' experience. It was good to see Stu Whitman again. My only negative is the painfully loud "background" or theme music. All the songs appear to have been written and performed by the person(s) in charge of dubbing the music, and I guess he wanted to be sure it could be heard. (Keep your remote volume control in hand throughout.) written by bobjane81

When I first saw this movie, I must say, they chose their story very, very, well. I enjoyed every minute of it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a family movie that’s really heartfelt. Brilliant film if you ask me.

I just LOVED that little girl...so cute and sweet...
I almost lost it near the beginning when they asked her why they shouldn't sell the horse....she said..with big tears in her eyes..BECAUSE I LOVE HER......omg....I choked up with a big happy smile on my face..tears in my eyes....

And what's up with her mom ,Isabelle?...also played in pure country....she is always mad and angry at everybody in her movies...stomping around with that scowl look on her face...lol..she's a pretty girl..I want to see her in a role where she's happy....

One of the most beautifully inspiring movies I've seen in a very long time. Well written, well casted, well directed, great cinematography as well. A story of Love, a story of Hope, and things to be learned, about Second Chances...

Am so glad to watch that movie.... ahhhhh I cried every bit of it.... What amazing story to the end which she scarified her horse to a friend but became what the best Joy ever.. Thank you for this lovely movie.

I needed a feel good movie tonight, and found it with this.
