How I review books (please note I review for me and in my own way, these are just my personal opinions and I know won't be in line with everyone else's all the time - I always encourage people to make their own judgements):
5 star ⭐️ Blew my MIND, AMAZING!
4 star ⭐️ I reaalllly loved it, but it wasn't quite mind blowing
3 star ⭐️ Liked it a lot, but it wasn't a special read for me
2 star ⭐️ I can see the merits, but it wasn't for me
1 star ⭐️ Nope. Just nope.

There are SO many parallels in pjo to greek myth literature, to the odyssey and so much more!!

Those books are mood stabilizers IMHO. Yes please vlog your adventures with the rest of the books! It was fun to see your experience and brought back my memories of it! ❤

Don't go into The Wishing Game thinking it's going to be a fast pace mystery because it's not. It's a very character-driven literary novel with a slight mystery element. It's fantastic and I gave it 4.75 Stars but it starts off really slow and it's very character study forward

I think you'll be happy to know that Epic the Musical has a continuation coming on Christmas day this year!

yes loving this! you should read heroes of olympus next (and vlog it hehe)

Hi Beth! This might be helpful to know if you don't already: Rick was not on-board for the films at all, like he did not want to be involved in the process whatsoever because of how they were planning to explore the story (I think, but he definitely didn't want to be involved in the films) and the fact that the actors playing the characters were already way older than Percy and the others. I am one of those not particularly impressed by the films but won't dig at those who did/do - the series is amazing so far, which is unsurprising since Rick is heavily involved :D. Also, side-note Nico and Bianca aren't twins, Bianca is the older of the two I think he is maybe nine or ten whereas she is Percy's age.

I'm so glad you loved the series, you've made me want to reread it for the nth time! I suspect you'll probably choose to read Heroes of Olympus next, but I also very very highly recommend the Egyptian-based Kane Chronicles trilogy (and the crossover short stories between Percy and the Kanes).
  • If you like podcasts, you should listen to the newest Olympian! Very funny and very good!!
  • @barbaraschmitt85
There is a new book in the series, the Chalice of the gods was released in September (haven't read it yet though)
  • I'm so happy you enjoyed this series. It's my favorite!! I may be a little too obsessed with it. At least my wallet thinks so.💙

Oh yes! I’m a little late but absolutely on board for further riordan reading vlogs! Heroes of Olympus is great and so is trials of Apollon. I never really got int9 the Kane books and have only read the first one but maybe that’s something to correct in the future. If I have time and energy…

So glad you enjoyed a beloved series of mine continue please it's a great universe xx
  • @badfaith4u
Your vlogmas series is so wonderful. Looking forward to future videos.
  • The answer to your final question in this video is "YES! please" This was such an amazing video and I loved to hear all your thought <3 But I am curious about one thing: Didn't Surfer Bro Kronos bother you in the audio book? When I reread this series this year, his Luke/Kronos voice bothered the hell out of me, it took me out of the story because I could not buy into that Surfer Bro accent🙉😅

I would love to see continuation of this project series. You have definitely inspired me to do a re read of this series and then jump into the rest of the Riordan-verse.
  • Loved this! Just found your channel suggested to me, since my life has been consumed by Percy Jackson since the show came out (and my inner child re-released 😅). Everything except Magnus Chase all involves the same general circle of characters, they just get expanded upon the farther you read. I recommend you read the percy-related books in this order: Percy Jackson & The Olympians 1-5 The Heroes of Olympus The Trials of Apollo The Sun and the Star Percy Jackson & the Olympians 6-? *So*: technically the PJO book 6, Chalice of the Gods, takes place before the trials of Apollo BUT– since they're not all out yet (they're coming out now) I think you should read them last. Does it spoil books "6" and on? Not really at all, we allllll know he won't just completely fail. Plus everyone who's caught up is reading them last, since they're still being released. It's sort of a filler story that we now get a journey to follow along to (it was incredible). I also personally think it reads as a completely separate set of stories and it lives in my head as a trilogy on its own. "7" comes out in September, and it should be a "trilogy" of books "6-8" based on the info we get in Chalice of the Gods. I hope this helped and wasn't too confusing! Glad I have a new subscription to a book person on youtube to watch 😊

Beth I have not read it yet either so you are not alone hopefully you enjoy your reading 📖💜💜💜

Omg I’m so excited for this vlog 🎉🎉🎉❤❤ I love this series so much!
  • انا برضو بديتها قبل فترة وما تميتها بس بعد كلامك ده برجع اقراها

I read the first 3 books in third grade and then never finished so last year I started re-reading them and I'm still only up to the third book. I still prefer the first movie to the book though to be honest and I'm not excited for this new because honestly I just don't want to watch 12 year olds which is also why I haven't finished the series and probably never will. People keep telling me that as you read the books age up but considering only the newest book has Percy at 18, thats lot of books to get through. It sort of feels like blasphemy to admit that on booktube because Rick Riordan is such a book community darling but I cant be the only one 😅
