Pagcor: Internet Gaming Licensees covered by Marcos' POGO ban

Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation chief Alejandro Tengco tells a Senate panel that all existing Internet gaming licensees or IGL are covered by the POGO ban President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced in his State of the Nation Address on July 22. Confusion arose because Marcos only explicitly mentioned "POGO", or Philippine offshore gaming operators, which technically ceased to exist in 2023, when they were re-termed as "IGL".

To be credible, the PAGCOR should clean its ranks. Palitan na si Tengco ng career executive mula sa Pagcor or from the private sector. Wala na kasing tiwala ang taongbayan sa Chairman na ito, dahil wala nang lumabas sa bibig kungdi ipagtanggol ang mga Pogo basta may perang pumasok. Sa OCTA survey, 85% favors total Pogo ban.

Let’s see the drama. The government will create a new license for internet gaming companies. These legal entities will need to register and PAY for the new license, which is not related to POGO or IGL but still falls under PAGCOR.

In my own opinion Pogo has to be Ban immediately and closely to removed all Chinese - in the Philippine land specially those illegal entry.. If the new IGL - Internet Gaming Licensees will patch up all the Filipino who has affected as un-employed from recent POGO. Thats a good idea. at least all Filipino nalang ang mga magiging empleyado... I Agree on these new set up to attain the non existing pure Fiipino workers..
