Very informative thanks! Could you cover healthcare/doctors/dentists in one of your future videos?

I am back in Bangkok this Thursday 16th May, staying in Thailand for a month this time specifically to find an area/condo to live in as I return in September to live. Just retired (yes, I am old) and have been planning this for some time. Your budget interested me as Iโ€™ve budgeted for 135,000 Baht per month to cover my living costs. Looks like I might be overshooting ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks for the video and info. Last year, I lived in the Jomtien area for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week without buying any LDs and barfines. I did not eat any western food due way more expensive and been eating Thai food in the market. In my early 50's now, I was planning to retire but I changed my mind in the very last second and back to work again in CA, started from scratch. Will do this again, next year.

Great video Sam! Especially For someone looking into a possible move to BK. One thing I missed in you video; how about insurances? Iโ€™m sure thereโ€™s health insurance? Any others like insurance for your property? Liability insurance? Would be great if you could share some insights on that.

great video! could you also do a video on the process to finding an apartment for rent as a foreigner? thanks!
  • Great video as always!! I got a question. Why you need the supplements? I found that a lot of people consume that in Thailand ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

What type of Visa are you using? I'm planning on moving to Thailand next year; Thinking about getting the Thai Elite Visa; which is around 26k USD.

Maybe I missed it in your video but do you have Health Insurance and if so how much do you spend as a foreigner per month in Thailand?

Great video. I was thinking of moving to Bangkok for a short while to give it a try, maybe 6 months to start. I will have a net income of around 125000-150,000 baht a month. On that kind of budget will i have to think much about my budget or can i spend quite freely? I am not into luxury goods, I am not a drinker or a smoker. Thanks!

If need 100,000 baht per month adjusted for inflation you need ยฃ866,000 invested. If you need 200,000 baht per month adjusted for inflation you need ยฃ1,732,000 invested. This assumes that you want your money to last 30+ years. This assumes that someone wants to retire early and live on passive income.
