BRIDGE COLLAPSE. WATCH the work of PRIESTLY DEMOLITION.

Published 2019-05-03
Fast moving floodwaters caused the collapse of the Imperial Road Bridge over Catfish Creek in Port Bruce, taking an unsuspecting dump truck driver crossing the bridge down with it into the fast moving waters below. Once the truck and driver were removed to safety and the dust settled, it was clear the removal of the collapsed bridge was going to be environmentally sensitive, dangerous, and complicated. A 70' section was sitting horizontally on the riverbed with four feet of water flowing over the deck, an 81' section was at a 45 degree angle, resting on a pier, and an 88' section was still erect sitting on a pier and abutment cantilevered out over the ~120' wide creek. The County of Elgin contracted PDI to remedy this dangerous situation.

A group of professions explaining calmly and clearly what they’re doing. A narrator who was apparently told to sound like Dan Aykroyd snorting cocaine while watching the Hiddenberg explode.
  • Pretty cool!! Just watched Heavy Rescue 401 a couple of weeks ago... They were recovering the dump truck... Now you put this video on YouTube.. perfect timing!! Nicely done, great video!! Thank you!!
  • I recently watched an episode of Heavy Rescue 401 where they showed the recovery of the dump truck. This post was equally interesting. The narrator however was too overly dramatic with his presentation. Still, a really great post.👍

Is it me...or does the narrator not sound like Dan Akroid

Narrator is a bit over dramatic! But a good video none the less.

It's a shame. Your videos used to be fun, informative videos on your company's work that actually showed the work you did and how it was done. Now they're just 5 minute ads put together by people with less than half a clue about your work.

I felt like applauding at the end. Is this one of those Marvel Comics shorties, cause it has all the energy and drama of one. and don't forget, the happy ending. I love those in a massage parlor.

im sure that poor dump truck driver, for sure, blew out brake diaphrams, (when he slid backwards)🤣🤣
