Nuclear Sirens: still playing -
How to survive a nuclear attack:
1. Get in the fridge -
Metro really nailed it. The debris hitting the plane, the EMP, the desperate cries for his mom...
-
Metro: Last Light's scene always sent chills down my spine, but it also showed how well done a scene can be written.
While one pilot is absolutely terrified and is screaming "I don't want to die! I don't want to die!", the other is trying to calm him down. "We have to land the plane! Focus! We need to land!" He yelled in their final moments before they crashed into the theater... -
Rules to survive an atomic attack:
1. BE THE MAIN CHARACTER -
After the explosion in Beirut, YouTube recommended me this....
-
playing as paul jackson in some of the best missions in any cod game only to be killed by the nuke is such a master class in story telling. watching him hopelessly stumble towards the blast zone while wasting away from radiation poisoning is such a great way to make people understand the true power of these weapons. these things really are death, the destroyer.
-
I liked the far cry 5 one the most not because of the nuke, but how the characters react. All through that scene, you can hear everyone freaking out and it just makes the scene much more immersive and badass
-
The nuclear explosion in Fallout 76 is like a nuclear explosion we all drew with coloured pencils when we're kids.
-
“Mankind invented the atomic bomb, but no mouse would ever construct a mousetrap.” -Albert Einstein
-
3:18 honestly the reaction of those cops in Far Cry 5 is probably the most realistic reaction that someone would have. Not panic or indifference but a 'is this for real?' look and feel. Nukes even the small ones cause detonations that are beyond human comprehension. So if you actually saw one it would likely be a 'wow' moment even for trained soldiers. But no one aged below 60 has ever seen one above ground detonate so its difficult for us to genuinely understand their power.
-
One thing most people don't realise is that almost all depictions of explosions in moves and games are wrong.
The shockwave moves at the speed of sound, so, you hear nothing until the shockwave hits you.
In most depictions you hear the blast instantly.
But I find the realistic way far more scary especially in the case of a nuke.
A blinding flash of light, silence the whole time, then a shock wave condensing the air into a cloud layer rushing towards you, then, *BOOM*. -
This must be Kim Jong Un's favourite video
-
The scene from the first modern warfare always gives me chills, it’s so well done.
-
I have played Metro: Last Light redux and I gotta say, that scene with the 2 pilots literally witnessing their home country burning in a nuclear hell zone is both terrifying and genuinely sad, especially when you realize one of the pilots said "I am scared to die!" and "Mama!".
-
I remember COD4 when it came out in 2007 and the whole game was just amazing. I knew I was in for something special from the opening mission. Then you get All Ghillied Up and Shock and Awe after that? Easily one of the best FPS campaigns of all time.
-
Realisticly, looking directly at a nuclear explosion fireball would blind you instantly for a few hours.
-
The Metro Last Light nuclear scene is so freaking eerie and magnificent when you play the mission. You get to see the last seconds of the lives of those poor souls in the plane while the entire city screams in agony.
-
I will never forget the Fallout 4 scene... Loved this game.

For anyone that didn’t play fallout 76 before:
What you saw in that video is what happens in a server MULTIPLE times in a single day. Sometimes even within an hour. People drops nukes in that game like child’s toy. And you can even select the place to drop that nuke. It can be your friend’s camp, any NPC or player or just drop it right on your head. Can you can do it as many times as you want. If there’s a game that allows you to abuse nuke, 76 it is.
