Who it's for: Curious beginners to advanced creatives working in any industry.

What it is: A multifaceted content layout program that allows for the creation of posters, brochures, newsletters, books, basic illustration, special effects, and interactivity.

What you'll learn: We begin with learning the interface and workspace to drawing and manipulating shapes, applying color, and understanding and implementing typography. Then, we get into a fun series of lessons on placing images, editing images, and text wrapping. Next, we do a deep dive into paragraph, character, and object styles. We explore the valuable Master pages, and learn about exporting and packaging our documents for publishing. In our advanced course, we cover data merging and how to create a Table of Contents and interactive form. We also go deeper into nested styles including Character, Paragraph, and Object styles. Finally, we get creating with some of our favorite vector and shape manipulation tools, and explore how to use the Creative Cloud Libraries more effectively to share and utilize all of your new assets and tools.

This may be the best tutorial for any software I've ever seen. The tone, the pace, the structure, and the technical level are all perfect for the way my brain works. I find Adobe's own instructional materials to be cryptic at best, but this one hits it out of the park. Thanks so much for doing all this work for us.
  • Hands down the best step by step, clear, not too fast, showing what, why and how…
  • @ellceez
Great, thank you! I've been working with Illustrator and Photoshop forever and needed an InDesign refresher/update. It's never been my jam but it will be my bread and butter and this is very professional and thorough class.
  • @dano7310

I wanted to express many sincere gratitude for all the time and effort put into making this course, it’s rare to find something taught this well. Many, many thanks and sincere gratitude. Danielle

Literally the best tutorial I've ever seen, including exercise files, clearly delineated chapters, and thorough explanations. It's setup so you can come back at any point and skip to the specific section you need. Invaluable - thank you!
  • @cw4608
This is paced perfectly to work along with. The skills are timestamped making it easy to skip skills, or jump to those you are interested in. The presenters voice is clear and his pace is even. Super job all the way around. Thank you!
  • @Layachu
The best tutorial I ever found in YouTube. Thank you very much for all your effort and time to teach us!!! Incredible work!
  • @djwarrior1421
Wow. You're tutorials are so easy to follow and your voice over is easy on the ears. No odd inflections. Not too enthusiastic, just right.
  • The use of graphics and data visualization is highly effective in simplifying complex concepts and making them easy to comprehend.
  • @LMae-rj9qi
My goodness! Where have you been "all my life"? This has to be THE most thorough ID tutorial on the tube!! Thank you!!!!!!!!😀
  • @seattlesue178

  • @rkrishnappa
Perfect tutorial , the best one I have come across - so easy to follow, understand and grasp. Thank You so much for doing these.
  • @chicbydesign212
Dave Casuto, you have saved my life. I'm in grad school needing to prepare a project proposal and have never used InDesign before. I agree with the other reviewers - this is the best online tutorial I have ever seen! No contest. The pace, the flow of topics, the practical examples, the expert screen viewing and articulation of what/how to do things... sheer perfection. This is model for online software training instructors. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  • This is the best tutorial series I've ever viewed. I had several subscriptions to services during the past 25 years, but there always seemed to be some explanations missing. The learnit series takes you logically and orderly from point to point: A, B, C, D, E no missing steps. The other services would be more like: A, B... D, E creating confusion and making you wonder how they got to D? Wasting lots of time, rewinding videos, or searching through community forums. There are no missing steps in this series, and it clearly demonstrates how all the adobe programs are integrated. If you view, one series, you gain a basic understanding of the others: Preferences, Work Spaces, Menus, Customizations and so forth.
  • I love being able to go back and watch sections again after I practice and fail. Great learning tool.
  • Mr. David This is Belachew from Ethiopia, and I'd want to express my gratitude for the teaching. I'm taking all of your Adobe courses, and you truly can make a difference. Stay blessed, you're an all-time amazing instructor.
