Rap Songs That Got BLOCKED From Going #1. In this video, I'm going to highlight Hip-Hop/Rap songs, where the highest it made it on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart was #2 or #3. For each entry, I'm also going to show which songs were at the top spot, that stopped that artist from getting a #1 hit record.

"The Power of Imax" was disrespectful as hell LMAOOO

“The power of iMax” is the best line I’ve heard in a YouTube video all month.

Bruh Umbrella had people in a choke hold. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing it lol
  • @phillinsogood
If Drake released the video for Hotline Bling on YouTube instead of Apple Music it definitely would’ve hit #1 for 1 week before the Adelecylpse lol
  • Came back from the Year 3000, and that song did go multi-platinum 😂

That ride w me censored is hilarious. There's a different version I hear now when he breathes in then breathes out instead of pure silence to show it wasn't as censored but still funny

Taylor Hicks won American Idol and got that stimulus package. I only know this because I’m from Birmingham Alabama, he’s from Birmingham Alabama, and at that time we had the most idol winners (Ruben Studdard in 03 and then Hicks in 06. Honorable mention to Bo Bice who was runner up the year before and Diana DeGarmo who was runner up in 04).

You took time researching this, I'll be the first candidate to demand a part 2 💯
  • Taylor Hicks was the American Idol winner for that year. For a few years in a row at the time, the American Idol winner’s coronation song debuted at #1.

I’m pretty surprised you didn’t know Snoop Dogg & Ludacris were on Holidae In. Ludacris’ verse always cracks me up 😂

Crazy thing is, for some reason the rap stations in my hometown would always play the east coast version of Loyal, and since the radio is how I found out about the song, I always thought French Montana was on the original version until I finally saw the music video
  • Olivia Rodrigo loves blocking rappers. She blocked J Cole’s My Life from reaching number one

I knew exactly who you were talking about when I heard "very large forehead." When my brother and I were watching Rihanna perform at the Super Bowl, we were mocking her by making the noises of the aliens from Mars Attacks. "Ack, ack." If you've never seen Mars Attacks, you gotta see it. It's a Tim Burton film with incomprehensible star power, (Jack Nicholson, Pierce Brosnan, Danny Devito, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael J Fox, Rod Steiger, Natalie Portman, Lisa Marie, Paul Winfield, Pam Grier, Jack Black, Ray J, and that's only SOME of them), and it's so stupid it's funny. 😂

Taylor Hicks came off of American Idol. Fantastic singer. I picked him for the winner of the season during his audition.
