And for those that don't know. Spalding was the company that made Hakeem Olajuwon Sneakers. They sold for roughly 35 bucks. The Joerdan Shoe and Reeboks Shaq Attaks sold for over one hundred dollars more. The man said he didn't want poor kids to not be able to afford his brand of sneaker. Hats Off to Olajuwon

To me this is the best center of all time. The mobility, the arsenal, the back to the basket game, the touch, the footwork, just absolutely sensational.
  • @Don-Yeti
I was just looking at Hakeems stats and he's criminally underrated. 4-5 blocks a night 😵 28.9 ppg 11.0 trb 4.0 blk 4.3 ast 1.7 stl. That's his playoff averages for his 1st ring. They won the next finals in which he scored 33ppg. He would be one of the best players of any era and I'd love to see him in the current smallball game

It's a shame you can tell how underrated Hakeem is just by the lack of views on this video compared to most other GOAT SZN videos... How do people not get excited to watch 1993-94 Hakeem? His game was beautiful and dominant at the same time on both ends of the floor.

The only player you can pick before MJ and everybody are ok with it.
  • @luke83rj
That’s the very best footwork in NBA History.
  • @calstate
Notice Hakeem and MJ didn't do a lot of dribbling. They made quick decisive moves.
  • @NickPR87
The most well-rounded, skilled, versatile, center in basketball history and it's not even close!
  • @ilgenio
Someone who is often overlooked when talking about all time greats. Prime Hakeem was a beast in the low post, the Dream Shakes, the spin moves, the up-and-unders, the fadeaways, the hook shots, and the way he danced past his defenders with fancy footwork... Even prime David Robinson in his DPOY year got pwned by Hakeem. An elite rim protector on the defensive end too. The total package~

“It’s a good thing they can’t ever get outta the west bcuz we got no answer for that monster they got. I don’t know that we can beat em.” -Michael Jordan 1992

Best defender ever, best center, one of the all time greats.
  • @armin38822
The guy was picked before Jordan and nobody in Houston is mad about it. That's how good Hakeem is.
  • @cenationmiles
Hakeem was something else man. Can you please put his 95 season as well? His run to the finals as a 6th seed was legendary
  • @Veyronp87
everyone who wants to do anything with basketball needs to watch this mans footwork. its literally art
  • @jarvasedundy1
I never clicked so fast 🔥 he's the only player in NBA history to win NBA MVP/DPOY/championship in the same season 93-94
  • Between 88'-95' Olajuwon avg 24p, 13r, 2.9a, 2s, 4.2b on 51% FG! At this point in his career he was 11-5 against Jordan for 9 seasons with multiple different rosters and was top 10 in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks every season for his first 13 seasons! Quadruple double, closest to a quintuple double, only player in history to record 200+ blocks and 200+ steals in the same season! He beat Kareem with his defending champ Showtime Lakers, Ewing with help from Oakley and Mason, David Robinson with help from Rodman and Terry Cummings, Shaq with help from Horace Grant and Penny! He has both the greatest individual season of all time and he lead the greatest team playoff run in history leading the only #6 to ever win a ring and the only team that's beat four 57+ win team to get the ring! Hakeem Olajuwon is the greatest basketball player of all time and its not even close!
  • @noshowjoe6596
3 dislikes brought to you by David Robinson, Patrick Ewing and Shaquille O'neal
  • @juicelord4792
My favorite 5 of all time......So dominant, so complete.....Won back to back facing bigs in the most dominant BIG MAN era!!!!!
  • I just get chills watching this graceful athlete move like a ballet dancer. Hakeem has to be one of the best big man NBA player ever. Some of his moves just defy the laws of human physics.
