  • If Flamigo has one fan, that fan is me. If Flamigo has no fans, I am no longer a part of this plane of existence.
  • Recently a Flamigo bugged me so much in the over world ( it followed me up a tower and even after running away from the battle it just kept going after me) that I decided to catch it and name it Annoyance.
  • @polybius32
I'll get a bit sad if Bombirdier gets remembered as a forgettable Pokémon. I find so cool that, instead of taking the easy route and making a stork Pokémon based on the baby connection, they based it on bombardiers and the dark aspects of real life storks.
  • @koykoy13
Flamigo actually became pretty memorable, not because of its design but because it's the singular best Pokemon for Scarlet and Violet speedruns.
  • @ThaDocta0623
If Flamigo could learn the move False Swipe, it would be the ULTIMATE Pokemon to use to help catch them all; with that ability Scrappy.

Whether it was made to be important or made to be forgotten, all pokemon deserve love and are special in their own way! Also let’s not forget that a Pacherisu, out of all pokemon, won a championship in 2014.

16:00 Storks are associated with birth in Europe because they leave continent at fall and come back home at spring - the rebirth season to lay eggs and raise their children. As they make their large nests not in forest but often in villages and other human settlements, on roofs and chimneys there is clear connection. If a stork pair decide to build their nest on your roof, that means they bless you with fertility.

I actually quite like Bombirdier and the twist it puts on the stork story. I was expecting normal/flying Type, but it's dark/flying, which fits its joy towards rock flinging. Honestly one of Gen 9's greater designs.

Flamingo in Spanish is Flamenco, like the animal and the dance have the exact same name. Also, both names have different origins apparently, the bird one first meant "originary from Flanders", to later mean "pink skinned person", and the dance comes from the arabic term Felah-Mengus meaning "wandering peasant".
  • @dcbandit
I want a fairy/ground type Gnome pokemon, now.
  • @shugoibaka
I almost got my whole team knocked out the first time I ran into a Flamigo because I underestimated the power and didn't know about the fighting type, so I had to catch it and it carried me through a bunch of the early game, so now I have a fondness for it that makes it unforgettable to me.
  • @PatGencarelli
I don't think they want you to forget Bombirdier. It's one of the titan Pokemon in the story and it was one of the first paldea Pokemon in Pokemon go
  • @caroalcala3741
Since they did with dogs and birds, I hope the next gen will include other obscure animals not yet based upon.
  • @Wildcatt1999
Squawkabilly is the only one who feels like a filler Pokemon. Bombirder is kind of cool and Flamigo is not bad.
  • @HoopsandHipHop
One thing that wasn’t mentioned about Squawkabilly that I think is really cool is that the type of parakeet that it’s based on is an invasive species, which ties into its rockabilly/Elvis look, as Elvis helped to popularize rock and roll, which was thought to be “invading” the culture of the general public at the time.
  • BRASIL MENTIONED but one funny thing about this gen is how MANY of the pokémon here are straight up references to things in Latin America as a whole, you know, 'cause of all the colonizing... yea we love our brasilian birds, like Quaquaval
  • @ashtonoak4370
Flamigo basically ran the first 5 gyms when i played through Scar and Violet. Hes def Top 5 in Paldea
  • Comfey isn't forgettable! It was a staple of competitive play and is a completely thematic and aesthetically pleasing design.
