  • I got the chance of catching the red moltres using the daily adventure incense. I used a golden rasberry and an ultraball, made an excellent curve throw, and it just jumped out and ran away :(
  • 6:45 there actually was a way to check IV back in 2016. Each team leader would have a special dialogue explaining how strong each of the three IVs were and at the end would exclaim something like “it’s the greatest I’ve ever seen” for the coveted 100%.

Agree with all but the first one. Your radar does not get wasted if the balloon goes away before you manage to beat Giovanni. The radar will be usable until you beat him. It is true it will be another Giovanni, possibly with other secondary pokémon, and therefore your previous strategy could be not valid anymore. But other than that, having Giovanni in a balloon is more efficient

Saved me on the Eevee challenge later on in the game. Only used Umbreon’s name, would have kept going if it wasn’t for this. Thanks man
  • Putting meta pokemon in gyms could be beneficial for grinding candies through gym feeding

the eevee name trick works more than once for me. u just gotta change the name back to the original name. for example: rainer makes vaporion and unless u change the name rainer back to vaporion, the name trick wont work but once u do, the name trick will work again.
  • Yeah I wasted all my Eevee names, but I only used them on high 3 🌟. I got a semi reliable 2400+ Glaceon and Vaporeon.

Brandon, you're killing it with all these videos lately! Got me back into playing and excited about it again!
  • @bosmosis
Been playing for maybe two months now, and a lot of these tips were helpful.

Also some "noob mistakes" I've seen people do, particularly in raids: -Yes, you absolutely must tap your screen for you to do any damage. Don't just go in the raid and look at your screen. It won't help. Not one bit. -Check/learn about type advantages. The "team suggestion" the game provides does not necessarily always provide you the most optimal team setup to go with. -The mega evolution bonus in raids only works when you actually use the mega evolved Pokémon in the raid battle, and only lasts so long as the Pokémon is being used in the battle. You cannot just mega evolve a Pokémon, not use it, and expect magic to happen. -Yes, it is absolutely lovely that Blissey is such a tanky monster that can take a lot of damage from that legendary before going down. Blissey however will barely do any damage at all. You are better off using a Pokémon that gets KO'd more quickly but can actually pack a punch, than by relying on something tanky just to have it survive as long as possible. Not to mention, other players might get really irked at you not pulling your weight DPS-wise. -Don't act entitled or bossy to other players. (how is this not common sense). Applies to everyone, not just noobs, however it is even more so frustrating when some level 18 kid is playing a "know it all" and being bossy and rude. At a low level, you generally truly need these higher level players to carry you through legendary raids. So when people are basically helping you get in a free win, be grateful. Don't be all "f* you if it's not weatherboosted I'm out!" or "only 5 players rather than 6 joining? Raid would take too long to my liking. BYE." or "YOU ALL ARE IDIOTS, NOT USING ICE TYPES AGAINST MEGA GYARADOS. IT IS DRAGON TYPE SO WEAK TO ICE!!!"

there's a way to sort out the 0, 1, and 2 stars, though I usually don't get rid of 2 stars. its under advanced and you can select the star number you want and even see if you have a 4 star. just transferring all the 0 and 1 stars can help get the job done fast
  • The Daily Adventure Incense rumor is true ! Just today, I used it and a Galarian Articuno appeared in front of me ! It still ran away after throwing one ball at it but the rumor is true
  • @robertryan630
It's brilliant to see how much Brandon has grown over the years, I started watching him around the 1st pogo event wkend 6 years ago and his videos have really grown in maturity
  • For #2, there are certain Pokémon that are good at defending gyms and only defending gyms - nothing else. If you want to put powerful Pokémon in gyms, put those in. (Blissey, Snorlax, Chancey, Wobbuffett etc)
  • 18 vaporeon. I evolved 18 vaporeon before I finally got the last eeveelution I needed (flareon). So yeah, that name trick would have come in handy ( had I not already wasted all of them). I was fortunate I had enough candy because 18 x 25 = 450 candy trying to get flareon.
  • Speaking of the #3, that reminds me of a story I read where this person had NO IDEA what the appraisal was and only kept high cp Pokémon while transferring the low level ones. Once someone told him the proper way of checking the ‘Mons, he discovered he had barely any 3 stars but plenty of 2 and lower ones. And he had a pretty high storage of Pokémon too…
  • @TheBDLS23
Kinda sucks I gotta follow a meta. I just wanna use my favorite ones but I've been getting stomped 😔
  • @MelchVagquest
I ran into a Galarian Zapdos after using a Daily Incense. It was raining and I had walked in a pretty big straight line. Unfortunately, it only gave me one chance to catch it. I used a Golden Razz and an Ultra Ball, but missed the target by a centimeter.
