A friend wanted to know how i plot my stuff. Now for everyone who is interested.

This old Bastard was build in the 80s as a pen plotter. It was sold for about 5000$ and was thought to be super modern space age technology.

Now after his transplottering ehh.. modification to a cutter he's standing in my apartment to do his work in plotting cheesy anime cutouts for me and my friends.

This machine looks like a beat up gundam and sounds like one getting into this state but it does really good work.

Well... if you don't insert the foil in a perfect way he destroys it sometimes :3

Hi there! I basically just installed the original Drivers and the Custom tool "Let's cut". I think it uses custom drivers so i don't know if i even had to install the original drivers but it worked pretty well. Let's cut was tested with the most old HP plotters and has all the funcions i needed for the 7575,

Sorry i don't have the plotter anymore since im trying to get myself a large scale printer :D So i can't say which parameters i had. Let's cut worked with the original drivers which had to be installed for the COM port. Oh and i forgot to mention, that it only worked on win XP or 2000 for me. I didn't change anything in Lets cut. I just had to choose the right com port. Sorry if i can't help you anymore but i try to reconstruct, how i made it work^^

Hi there! I don't really know if the Blade holder is brand or custom made since i bought it from a private seller on ebay some years ago. It supports 2mm x 23mm Blades and has a magnetic fine ajustment screw like most of the universal holders. The most tricky part was the pressure controller, which i can adjust with a potentiometer. One of my nerdy friends soldered that for me together. It works pretty well and accurate now. Gonna have to ask what he actually did.

Please can you tell me where to get a knife holder to modify my plotter? I don't know where to find this HP blade holder... You know if any other compatible brand? Thanks!

I have the same 7575a, but it doestn works at the moment, can you tell me which settings you have in Letscut? Do you use the HP 7475 settings? Can you tell me which parameters you have on the backside of your 7575a? I am not shure because the parity, ODD and so on... Thank you

What i actually did myself was to try about 50 different cutting programms which wouldn't do their job right. The only one that works 100% well (especially the blade offset) was let's cut lets.de/download/LetsCut199.2.1.5.zip the best is, that it's free. It supports the HPGL (.plt) format and offers many scaling functions.
  • hello sir, how have you solved the problem that the plotter measures the material size with high speed ? my plotter destroy the media every time....

Greetings, I have the same plotter & I'm trying to do the same thing. What blade holder do you have (link if possible)? Is there anything special you had to do to make it work? I've got mine drawing things on paper. I'm creating the art in Illustrator & printing from adobe reader. Thanks,
