Publicado 2023-12-29
Waves estimated as high as 40 feet kept surfers grounded — well, most of them, anyway — and served as a magnet to hundreds of spectators Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023. (Video by Kent Porter)

Good thing everyone was able to be in the moment and didn’t feel the need to be on your phone 😂

The sea was angry that day, my friends. Like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.

No matter how cold and wet it is there's always that one guy with shorts and sandals on.

Great time to start looking for clams. Huge waves dig up the shore and cause clams to start rolling around. Just be cautious at low tide.

I've been warning people for a few years now. I camped all over Cali coast. Watched the tides change and shift... If anyone near coast is smart they will relocate to mountains before 2025. Imagine it's not even deeper winter those waves will soon be where people are standing..

That is going to move some big rocks around the old fishing hole. Wonder how the fishing will be after all this. A crab grinder close to shore.

Trying to die and give the Coast Guard more work? Waves have definitely been reaching farther than this.

People recording nature, instead of looking at and appreciating the spectacle in their eyesight

When the zombies come there will be many eager folks to greet them. Gotta be there with a smartphone.
