Hello, this is my first visit to your channel. I do so love restoration work. I, never in a million years, would have thought you could turn that pile of scrap into such a warm and well-loved looking piece of furniture!!!! It’s magnificent compared to our first sight of it! I truly wondered at first, if it was worth all the trouble you were going to, but you sure changed my mind! It looked like it was made by an old craftsman, as I’ve never seen that “slot and slide” type of build before. So it must have been VERY old. But your finished product was truly a work of art. I especially loved seeing all your “remedies” to problems. Well done, Luca is it!? I’ll watch yours again. from Melbourne, Australia,🦘❤️

A little rustic cabinet with a beautiful tree design on the top. I love that you didn't try to "make new" all the worm holes, the scratches and dents and other character marks on this piece. I would never have believed that you would have been able to make something out of the pile of wood you found at the end of that road, but you made a perfect little cabinet. I wondered when you began work if you would use your etcher on it, and I'm so glad you did. The tree design really elevated this humble little piece into something anyone would be proud to use. Bravo!

I love the way you have kept the pieces aged look. It looks as old as it really is but it now has new life in a beautiful cabinet. I hope it lasts for another 100 years or more. Just as the tree of life suggests. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • I enjoyed riding along in the search for your trash piece and watching you make it beautiful and useful again. The tree design is so pretty!

OHMYGOSH!............You know why I love these challenges? ............is because it inspires you all to use your skills and imagination. You are all masters in my mind. You all have unique qualities. My gma whom is 94 has quite a collection of pieces dating from the 1920 to 1970, I in my ignorance thought I could restore some. That is why I started watching you guys. BOY was I wrong! I learn though, To pros they might not think is nothing, but I love watching you all. ..............thank you all. YOU bring happy memories for my grampa, whom he loved doing this, although not with the new technology. .............God Bless
  • Very nice! Loved going on the field trip to find your trash piece. Love the inlay. Job well done👍
  • Even though I've watched the video, I can't believe such a lovely, rustic looking, beautiful piece of woodworking excellence came such horrible pieces of chappy, worm infested wood ! As the English saying goes, you have made the impossible possible, and created a silk purse from a sows ear. Well done Sir !

  • Lovely work! From roadside trash to serviceable furniture. Keep up the good work.

Great work and a really good makeover. (It almost seems as if it would have been easier to start from scratch and build a new one.)
  • @AlenBeals
