Prime's and Animated's Shockwaves are both terrifying in different ways. Prime's evokes HAL from 2001 with that giant red eye, and his personality is similarly pure logic and efficiency. That, however, comes with a sense of fairness, in that if "your argument... is logical" he will spare you. Animated's, on the other hand, reminds me of Perfect Cell, a sociopath, with his polite yet casually contemptuous tone (voice actor did a much better job than his G1 performance as well).

Gotta love how compared to every other Decepticon, every version of Shockwave is legitimately dangerous and always proves why he’s so trusted by Megatron. Even Megatron sometimes had a bad showing, the only version of Starscream that I respect and is actually competent is Armada, and the only other Decepticon with a record similar to Shockwave is Soundwave.

4:01 is one of my favourite moments. As if he's saying "I'M GONNA BLUDGEON OUT YOUR FRAGGING OPTIC!!!" Instead he says something i like even more: "I am tempted to force you to share my perception of things..!"
