    at times I've used the wood burning stove. the stove and that small space makes for a seriously amazingly cozy shelter. the stove can radiate enough heat that, IF i use it, i sit outside of the tarp. I agree, "great bit of gear". by far, its my favorite.

    Yeah I use a tarp mainly for cooking on crappy days.Use a bunch of different shelter configerations on weekenders.One day I'll use my hammock set up,next day I,ll use my non freestanding dakota1,or both next to each other,and now I'm thinking about getting a kelty grand mesa 2 cause I'd like to set camp on a beach too.But the main goal is getting the extra cycle.Although expensive It's like I need this cause I do a lot of bikepacking.
