Would you guys want more tours of the actual ORs and OR setups like this one? This was a super cool opportunity (that was actually her idea) so lmk if you’d like to see more!
  • @infires2013
Forget vogue this is what I want to see- youtube recommendations finally got it right!
  • Went to med school with her, glad to see she hasn’t changed ❤️ Always been so sweet
  • As an anesthesia technician for 18 plus years I've see my share of close call near death complicated surgical cases requiring a "master resuscitator"(aka Anesthesiologist, aka Unsung hero). The surgeon talks to the family, tells them there was a near death problem, but the patient made it through surgery....... Without mentioning the beads of sweat dripping down the face of the Anesthesiologist who stabilized the patient, kept vital organs from failing and kept the patient alive. Surgeon's get the glory and accolades for performing surgery. In real time however, the Anesthesiologist is the true Unsung hero of the entire operating theater.

Damn, she's so quick at replying. Each question, is analysed and solved in 2 seconds. Must be great at tests.
  • I am a graduate student in public health, and when she ended by saying "preventative medicine is a key component needed to give people a higher quality of life," I immediately smiled.

shes so personable. she's a breath of fresh air. love to see her personality shine through
  • Her answers about the appeal of anaesthesia, the fact that it is real time medicine, and that it is a perfect balance of hands on and intellectual medicine, were absolutely right. She's giving the answers that I gave medical students for years. So spot on

Being able to continue asking questions that flow without pausing while operating a gimbal, perfectly tracking the star with good framing, and even adjusting camera settings all at the same time is a rare skill. You're really good at this.
  • I graduated from anesthesia about a week ago and I’d say as a CA-2 she’s way ahead of the curve. Great job making us look good!!
  • @Ssan774
I loved the way she managed between answering the 73 questions and at the same time she took us with her in a day as an anesthesiologist
  • I was an SICU nurse here and I worked with her! Definitely remember the OB patient that received 80 units of blood. She made it out of our ICU and her baby was fine! Amazing
  • I just had my very first surgery today with general anesthesia, and I’m so grateful for every person that took care of me!
  • @cweave321
Get to work with Miriam a lot, she’s really sweet and hilarious
  • @bouchser000
Lots of Caribbean medical school graduates getting into anesthesiology; it feels which is great too see!
  • @playarf
I am so disappointed at some posters talking about her personal life. She has worked hard to get where she is. No one really cares what medical school you go to as long as you are board certified, and credentialed at your hospital and treat your patients and colleagues with respect and have good outcomes. Its idiotic for people to criticize international medical graduates. Often, opportunities are not present to attend Canadian or American medical schools d/t being a non traditional applicant or nonsensical application process for medical schools. I am a board certified anesthesiologist and a fellowship trained pain physician. I also went to an offshore school. I have been in practice for more than 7 years. I am loving my life, my patients, my colleagues and my family. Being a doctor provided me with happiness and I live my life gratefully for the opportunity and work in one of the best places in the country. And no, no one cares or asks where I went to medical school. Please show some class and do not abuse this doctor, and learn a little about foreign trained physicians and how hard they have to work to provide care for the U.S. Public. Often they go into rural areas that U.S. doctors do not want to go at all.

Pls 73 questions with cardiologist. I’m still trying to decide if I want anesthesiology or cardiology
  • As an aspiring anesthesiologist, this is a really informative and fun video to watch! will take the advice and go for it, currently waiting for admission to medical school ^^
  • @spongebob1849
I love this because anesthesiologist is my dream job. I think they are so underrated. It breaks my heart when people say that’s such a stupid/boring job, why do they exist, all they do is stare at a screen and the thing that loathes me, that’s so easy! Thank you to all of the anesthesiologists out there! You’re amazing!
  • @sherryr3217
She’s the type of anesthesiologist I used to love to work with.
