  • All of the elements came together so beautifully and cohesively to tell this story. I had never heard of Guy before, but this was a moving remembrance, and a pleasure to watch.

That was the longest 16mins I've experienced and I enjoyed every moment of it. Beautiful.

Brilliant film and so much more than 'just' a tribute to Guy (this sits more in the background here), it is very much a love letter to the whole sport of ice and mixed climbing. I was already stoked for the upcoming season, but now I'm EVEN MORE! 3:00 onward, the description of 'a day in ice climbing' and all the small, but so recognizable rituals involved, did it for me. Goosebump moment/sequence! Like Will Gadd's short 'move' I'm pretty sure I will watch this video periodically, just to remind me how much I'm in love with ice! Can't wait any longer!! Thanks for the quality content!
  • Today I learnt who Guy Lacelle was! I live in Colombia, a country full of mountains where ice climbing is not available because of location but at least watching these videos give me the feeling of adventure and inspiration. Thanks and congrats!

Guy spent the winter of 87 88 in Valdez ak...was obvious he was skilled and unique early on.....his methodical and zen style of movement was unique and one to emulate both on and off the ice no doubt...nice vid

When Guy first came to the Rockies, decades ago, I was lucky enough to do a couple of waterfall ice climbs with him, including Weeping wall center route, which he mostly dragged me up. Lol! Such a nice fellow. His ability was sure obvious.

13:16 “Nothing is self-evident except for the basis in which I live.” Oh, like self-evidence?
