Riding the "Ffestiniog"

Published 2024-06-09
After riding the Welsh Highland railway last year we just had to ride the other route of the Ffestiniog railway, although a lot shorter in miles it more than makes up in stunning scenery and mountains of slate, for anyone not done the two rides we hope this and last years videos might be helpful in showing just how beautiful these railways are.

Brilliant railway, I've got some fond memories of my grandparents taking me for a ride on the Ffestiniog when I was young, always a good day out there 😀
  • Hello Mal, this is a very nice trip to Porthmadog. I knew this railway line from the series Eisenbahnromantik, with the great Garrat and other narrow gauge locomotives. Your video is fantastic and shows not only the locomotives but also beautiful pictures of the landscape. Great filming, thanks for showing it, my friend and best wishes Wolfgang
  • hi dear Mal beautiful video my friend cheers alberto ☺☺☺☺☺☺👍👍👍👍👍👍

Hi Mal, a great insight to this nice railway! Lot´s of gems - one I found very exciting was the angle from the back of the train and seeing the long curve leaving Porthmadogh. Hmmm - but I wonder if those people in the far west don´t know who UK´s top cabinator is...
