“Play for your team not yourself.” Awesome advice!

Another tip...do NOT be afraid to open fire through walls/light cover if you have reasonable confidence that the enemy is there. You will be surprised what the bullet penetration can do in this game with the TTK, especially if you are running Gunner or Rifleman with a higher caliber rifle such as the AKM, G3, FAL, etc.

The K/D phenomenon IS a problem for objective based games. Most of the players define themselfes and their skill by the K/D ratio. It's what's obvious to their fellow players and opponents. If developers and the community wanted to change that, this data should be displayed in in a privat section only. Even better: not at all. Especally in realistic shooters like Insurgency Sandstorm. No soldier in real life gets a statistic after each battle. Just give players credit for achieving objectives.

As a r6, hell let loose and enlisted player, this game seems like an absolute win (downloading rn)

Coming from primarily a Co-Op objective player - there a couple more points to make: 1- When a player is entering a doorway slowly (or pie'ing the door), do NOT stand right behind him. "Cluster F---" leaves him with no immediate exit; you both could die by a grenade or get flashed 2- When defending a recently taken objective. Work as a team. Hold angles on doorway entry points or choke points. Do NOT run around the objective like it's CoD. You expose yourself, teammates hear you run and could shoot you as they spin expecting an enemy cuz they hear a lot of movement 3- Defending an objective; If you are seen holding an angle on a door/entry way and then leave. Another teammate might expect you still to be there while holding another entryway and get run up on. FIND an angle and stick to it. Most new players do this cuz they hear more action from another direction and get kill hungry 4- If a teammate is holding an angle of a window and there is a door to the side that is shut. Do NOT kick the door down and then leave. The man holding the window overlooking the walkway is using the sound que of the door to let him know to focus on the door. Door being kicked down creates no sound que and is just another line of sight - seen this too many times 5- Smoke works I guess on PvP; Smoke is problematic in PvE. AI just shoots thru it. Nothing will make Observers switch to Rifleman faster than a Commander calling smoke on every objective. "Fragging" has also been known to happen That's five on the top of my head (some I witnessed today)
  • Im a veteran player but just watched cause I havent played in a few months cause I was at college and wanted to hear some things I havent e bxperienced before. This video is generally pretty accurate and as a bonus is well made and easy to watch. Great job chief

Oh yeah, revenge knowledge is also key, this is why relocating to new areas is important, after each successful ambush on an enemy wave, it's best to find a different location to take vantage of, or if you're good enough, ambush any oncoming players instead.

unfortunately, unless you have your friends play as your team mate, these weaknesses will be expanded when play with random people. most of the time the teammate I had goes for the "fansy" classes, goes for higher K/D and running&gunning, no teamwork, no tactics, and they all got maw down when they try to cap a point. having some reliable teammates are rare cases, but every time when I have teammates that play team tactics, the victory is sweetest. anyway, thank you for the good video.

When I first played this game, I was running with an AK74u and came around a corner and exchanged fire with someone and killed him but what was interesting was my recoil sprayed up and to the left and another enemy ran around the corner and got killed by one of my stray bullets. More than any game I’ve ever played, you really have to pay attention to your surroundings. Another tip is to pay attention to dead bodies, if you enter a pathway and see several dead team mates, choose another path.

I think that learning the movement is the best way to avoid death via being caught out in the open. MGE Gibs plays super aggressive, but he does a couple things that every player should take advantage of. Ex crouch jumping through windows, and going from sprint directly to crouch which allows you to shoulder your weapon almost instantly (reduced ADS time). good vid
  • Agreed on utilizing the class to it’s fullest. A good class player vs a bad class player will make or break the match. A good marksman is not only a great shot but a greater scout. A good demo player (fucking love these guys) wrecks technicals and helicopters immediately, and can quickly take out the demo stash. A good gunner can suppress the hell out the enemy and support the marksman by keeping them off the team. A good observer stays close to the commander and STAYS ALIVE. A good commander knows when and when not to use certain support. And to communicate what his plans are to the team BEFORE they push in. And a good breacher always takes point, kicks in doors and most importantly, is effective at holding objectives when the team is on its last leg. If you can’t do those things to your team’s advantage, than pick another class and free up that one.

This was a incredibly well put together video from tips and structure to editing but the only bad part i can point out is that ultra wide aspect ration is a bit distracting when watching on a 16:9 aspect ratio. Do keep it up because this was a very enjoyable video to watch!
  • @CinoG2G
love love love getting compliments using that marksman class the correct way then even more so when clutching an obj lol
  • @serpantdart
I totally agree with the last point , theres been so many times where ive sat there screaming at the tv because the people just wont play the objective and it irritates me to no end .
  • So many good lessons here that apply just as well in other milsim like shooters. Great video!
  • @aneesh8963
One more thing while i would add, is use smokes while pushing into the objective or while capturing objectives
  • @tippytess
Good stuff man. This channel is gonna grow fast. Would love to see a gun tier list from ya at some stage
  • I am level 650 now and watched a lot of tips and tricks videos one tip I would like to add is only go alone if you’re planning a surprise attack other than that stick with a teammate Or lead an assault with two or more players if you die alone no one knows where you got shot from I think you get what I’m trying to say
  • @student702
Tip #2 good advice! I'm playing local against bots, but I will make sure I'm using the strengths of my class.
