    To think that this movie is almost 20 years old is crazy. The special effects are actually better than lots of other recent releases.

    Always loved the bit where the Beast twists the husbands arm and messes him up and when he sees the same about to happen to his love he counteracts the twist to stop the same happening to her. Just great choreography.

    Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer were two of my favorite films around this time. Western films have never really been able to fully capture that perfect mixture of action and slapstick comedy that makes those films so hilarious and entertaining. By the time this scene takes place, I was fully invested in the Lovers as characters, so when they do battle I felt the stakes. More importantly, I cared.

    Went into this film by myself with no expectations what so ever. I’ve never been more blown away by a movie in a theatre. It is a true masterpiece. It has everything you could wish from an entertaining movie.

    Although he joined the gang at the beginning, his true heart of fighting the devil has never changed. Even on his last breathe, he still never give in. This scene is gold.

    Every time I revisit scenes from this movie, the action makes my hair stand up. Effects are a little dated sure, but this movie is just.. The strangest masterpiece.
