For those that are confused: The singer talks about a man who’s cheating on his wife and cannot keep things clean. The rumors have spread, even though his wife doesn’t know about them yet. In the song, Kim Petras plays the role of the girl the man is cheating with, interpreting her as a woman playing with her sugar daddy. Sam Smith talks about the cheater, and the words the song pronounce are full of disgust: 🎵Mummy don’t know daddy’s getting hot at the body shop Doing something unholy🎵 The song’s beginning explains that the wife doesn’t know yet that her husband is a cheater. The first lines describe the act of cheating as “something unholy” 🎵Lucky, lucky girl, she got married to a boy like you She’d kick you out if she ever, ever knew ‘Bout all the s**t you tell me that you do Dirty, dirty boy, you know everyone is talking on the scene I hear them whisperin’ ’bout the places that you’ve been And how you don’t know how to keep your business clean🎵 They are obviously taking the part of the wife, who doesn’t know he’s a cheater. He should feel lucky to have her. Connecting all the context clues in the lyrics, it seems the cheating husband has visited the club, met another woman, and continued to have a relationship with her. Petras’ line provides even more details about the husband’s infidelity, which seems to have a financial component. The song’s dark mood highlights how the referred actions are wrong, against nature. Using the term “unholy” implies a divine perspective on the situation: it’s not something the singer can fix. Therefore, they invoke God’s judgment on it and rely on His punishment, eventually.

I love how playful their voice is. It jumps around dragging notes, going high to low. It just sounds amazing. This is one of those songs that just makes you feel SO sexy.

This was far FAR better than the Grammy's. Kim's vocal sounded close to the recording, Sam was so much clearer, the concept, the set, the mix. ugh. it was perfect.

This performance was way better than the grammys, in my opinion. Both of their vocals were amazing in both performances, but I like the theatrics of this performance more. 😲
