Building the Ultimate Workbench for my Dream Garage

Published 2022-08-26
In today's episode, I'm building a MASSIVE workbench to get my dream garage organized. Small parts and hardware organization has been a real challenge for me in the workshop, so I'm fabricating and 3D printing my way into the craziest workbench I've ever made.

Sir, you have just earned yourself a subscriber! I had never even heard of your channel, but this workbench build brought me here, and now I'm here to stay!

First time watcher. I said to myself "I'm surprised this guy doesn't have a vacuum." Laughed so hard with your immediate response.

crazy to know your channel is just starting and your production value is already so good and it will just get better from here great video all around keep it up man excited to see where you go

Just found your channel. I work with my family at our workshop and we started doing alot of custom projects, after watching even just one or two of your videos it's helped so much! I'm slowly realising how useful my 3D printer is interms of custom work and efficiency and you've given me heaps of ideas on how to utilise space at the shop alot better, thanks man!

I used my 3d printer to print boxes exactly to my specs. All are 1 mm thick walls and bottom - for the upper drawers. Thicker below for the larger items. Using these cabinets for nuts & bolts is the smartest way to store and retrieve.
  • cant wait to see this shop come together and get organized. love your ingenuity

This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble youtube.com/post/UgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWx… by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

Good to see a video from you again. The workbench look great, can wait to see what you make on it!!!

Dude, Yes! This is great. I've been looking at a lot of different shop organizations as I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to lots of little parts that need a home. My intial go to was bin organizers like for bolts but that leaves a lot to be desired especially for keeping things clean, this is awesome.
  • Amazing piece of work !!! Can't wait to see the next vid !
  • @WexWerxScott
That router idea was more than I thought of... I don't envy having to cut all those bins having done similar myself to storage last year... Looks like an awesome addition to the shop!
  • @DennisCamaro
Excellent idea!! I've been looking for a budget set up just like yours, im putting this in my favorites folder for sure!!
  • Just came across this channel through your 3d printed press die and stoked on your content. Definitely giving me some inspiration for my own shop.

Excellent video! And use of 3d printing to add efficiency, very nice.
  • I really need to get into modeling and 3D printing. The small tools you made can make the difference in a process. Good stuff here.
  • @ShopNation
Awesome! Shop is going to be sweeeeeeeet
  • 👍👍👍 Job well done 👍👍👍 can’t wait to see the finished project!!!!!
  • @wfd805
Very similar to what I started 2 years ago. Job changes put the project on hold. Many of the ideas were the same, height, legs and organizing the top drawers. Nice job!
