A mistrial was declared in the Karen Read case Monday, with the jury at an impasse and unable to find a verdict. Judge Beverly Cannone declared the mistrial at Norfolk Superior Court, leaving unresolved, for now, whether Read is guilty of second-degree murder, manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

  • The only thing proven was that she was DUI. Otherwise, Not Guilty due to Reasonable doubt.

Eventually we will all know who paid for certain jurors. There is no possible way they didn’t find reasonable doubt in the common wealth’s case. Even if you wanted to convict, you just simply can’t based on this trial.
  • The guy said “they will retry it in order to provide justice for the family.” That is assuming Karen did it. She didn’t, so that wouldn’t provide any justice if the murderer is not on trial.

And to think this should have never gone to trial. Wow. I have to guess the jurors didn't get along... How aggravating! I could not have been a juror "arguing" with another juror about their lack of comprehension of the testimonies.

Shame...that. innocent lady and mcalbert folks are free too
  • @EmmaDee
Had this lady been quiet we could have heard what smart a%%🤮 threat Paul O'Keefe made to Karen in front of those deputies.

There is something that still isn't right with Read. So why was she flirting with Higgns, and they stopped talking? Its almost like a conspiracy to plan something, it did not make since. Is it possible that she could have hit John in the head with her SUV? think she was in this because of her saying "were they really invited to the house that everyone was going to? She seemed to have known them as well as they seemed to have known her. Why did she not go in that house with John if he actually went in there? And how do you know if she was the actual person who drove her SUV home? She knew exactly where he was in the snow ...It may be the last place she seen him. She knows what happened to John. I have said this before, she has not shed a tear over this. If you pay attention to her blank face and smirking and laughing at the judge. How could anyone think that is normal?

when she backed up ( at 24 mph ? ) was she in a driveway or on the street ?
  • The lies this channel has spewed already is sickening! Saying the government has been gagged but now they can say things 😂What about Morrissey’s video and comments? The reporter just said that Yanetti was trying to drag this out(lie) but the judge shut that down immediately! What a joke and waste of time and resources to reporting the truth
  • I can’t understand how Karen Read isn’t crying. I had nothing to do with it and I am crying because of the way this trial turned out.
  • A mistrial isn’t actually good the state will re try her and now they can correct there wrongs
