On Friday, Hurricane Ian made another landfall in the U.S., this time in South Carolina. It made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane, then taking aim at North Carolina as a post-tropical cyclone.

The second landfall on the U.S. mainland came as Floridians surveyed the damage days after the storm battered the state. Ian is expected to wreak havoc on numerous states along the East Coast as it moves inland over the weekend.

In South Carolina, trees have been toppled, roads flooded and over 69,000 households had already lost power. Throughout the day, power came back slowly in these states as rescue efforts continued in Ian's wake.

In Myrtle Beach, waves were pushing against the city's boardwalk tourist area, flowing over where thousands of tourists typically fill the wide sandy stretch. Cars were left abandoned in the road, having stalled when the storm surge flooded their engines.

Parts of the Cherry Grove Pier, Apache Pier and 2nd Avenue Pier collapsed Friday afternoon as Hurricane Ian made landfall.

Hurricane Ian has caused major flooding throughout the Grand Strand, the piers are among many structures downed by the storm surge. In southwest Florida, authorities and volunteers were still assessing the damage.

The channel lists such natural disasters as:
1) Geological emergencies: Earthquake, Volcanic eruption, Mud, Landslide, Avalanche;

  • Going to visit the ocean is awesome. Having the ocean come visit you, not so much. Thoughts and prayers for all those affected by this horrific storm.
  • Согласитесь на это можно смотреть бесконечно, как США смывает!

This happens with every tropical storm/hurricane in Myrtle Beach. Need to be grateful the damage wasn't like Fort Myers, FL!. That's were it was real devastating.
  • Ian was a spectacular storm, to say the least. a reminder that Mother Nature cannot and will not be controlled by mankind.
  • So sad to see. The cost to rebuild in today's inflate times is unimaginable. 😰

As if people aren’t struggling enough in this world… My heart is broken. God help the people and animals suffering.
  • I'm watching this thinking damn those palm trees are built to last.
  • This channel is excellent. Somehow it gets great footage that I’ve never seen on mainstream media. Instead of dishonest, tacky stunts of media weather clout chasers these videos feature excellent, honest narration. Great job! This channel deserves millions of subs.
  • We are all "witnesses" to the power of nature, when we turn our backs on the CREATOR.
  • Dude, we didn’t have a tsunami in Myrtle Beach. Hyperbole! The eye made landfall near my area of Pawleys Island. Some flooding and debris. Not a tidal wave 🙄 We hope everyone in FL can recover quickly since the regime is more concerned with equity than the amount of damage when it comes to emergency funding. Yes the “Vice President” just said it on the news. 😡
  • this is so sad man just like the Katrina God bless everybody and their families amen

  • You gotta figure at sometime the odds will be against you living on the sea ....
