So tonight was supposed to be the first trip back to racing since 2016. Welp, I had two problems that cancelled my plans. First was rain. Second is it now has problems with the ignition system. Watch the video for details.

Dang, that’s awful. Pretty bad when the top brand names make you feel like you’re buying cut rate white box eBay junk. Another YouTuber had three brand new Holley electric fuel pumps in a row crap out on him on a cross country road trip. Oh well, looking forward to seeing it on the track again!

I found the problem. The MSD box is indeed bad. I carefully checked everything with my wiring and it all checked out good. I put two volt meters, one on the main power input and the other on the ignition switch input, started the engine and it only took about a minute for the engine to stop running because it lost spark. Both of the inputs still had full power. I also noticed that every time the problem happens, if I shut the ignition off them back on the engine starts right up and runs fine until the problem happens again. I'm going to try one more replacement box but if it doesn't work I'm re-installing the 6AL I took out and going back to mechanical advance and I'll modify the weights to get the curve down to 12-14 degrees.

Dang sucks to hear that's giving you so many problems. Electrical gremlins are the worst to find and hunt down since you can't really see them right away.
