Where is the logic in requiring a president to swear an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and then grant him absolute immunity to do whatever he wants.

The Roberts Court knows that presidential immunity is settled law -- The Nixon Rule: United States v. Nixon, 418 U.S. 683 (1974), is considered a crucial precedent limiting the power of any U.S. president to claim executive privilege. In the case of United States v. Nixon, the Supreme Court ruled that executive privilege did exist, but pertained to matters of national security. Executive privilege does not apply to criminal matters.
