    @Shy Guy Kart To be honest Fire Flower makes a lot of sense, in his debut game, New Super Mario Bros. 2, when using the Gold Mario power up, he threw gold fireballs to turn blocks/enemies into coins. Sad he has a minus skill, but it makes sense, and was very clever on Nintendo in my opinion. Glad they kept him consistent!

    It was to be expected for Gold Mario to not have Coin Box, giving a driver the best special item plus a skill that easily lets him collect the coins he creates would make him very broken

    Honestly, Gold Mario having Coin Box AND the Coin Vacuum would've been far too overpowered. Balancing his god-tier suction with the Fire Flower made sense.
