and I want to thank everyone who enjoyed playing it over the past year. I'm so glad I could make a game that was a lot of fun for people, and possibly gave them inspiration to make their own awesome games.
As a celebration of the 1-year anniversary of Fortnite Z, I decided to make some more art!!! I think it came out great! :D I used FireAlpaca to make it (not Scratch). I really suggest you try FireAlpaca out if you want to make art (it's free, and easy to get started with). I'm still pretty new to it I guess, so the lighting is probably really weird, but I had fun making it and it still looks cool overall, and I think those are the kinds of things that count the most.
I know you guys have been desperately waiting for Season 2, for... the past year. Really, when Season 2 felt mostly done I was originally planning to share it in September of 2020!!! :( But I just kept working on it less and less, putting it off and delaying it. The reasons were... 1.a little more school 2.talking with friends a lot and 3.probably the biggest reason, I was spending so much time trying to have fun making art like this! I was just really captivated by drawing certain things and completely put Scratch to the side. (I didn't want to be an artist, I was just doing it for fun)
I mean, I guess it's normal that people like to take breaks a lot, and it happens on Scratch all the time (I've taken 3 separate year-long breaks in the past). But I really feel bad that I just put off working on Season 2 and have been making you guys wait so long.
I will keep working on it in the near future, but even though I have a checklist of everything that needs to be worked on/finished in it, I really have no idea when I'll be able to share it. Plus I'll have to make the trailers, which will be twice as long and more detailed than the Season 1 trailers.
So in the meantime, to ease the wait for Season 2, I'm going to craft up a new (similar-style?) game that should be pretty fun and shouldn't be too hard to finish. (This aged like milk)
