Welcome to IntermittentSailingWithKids. These are my families sailing adventures, in between, soccer, baseball, field hockey and lacrosse. Oh and I also play (fix) pinball machines in my spare time!

Our boat, s/v Independence is a 2004 Catalina 320, shipped from Chicago to the Chesapeake Bay. In fact it still has "Chicago, lL" on the transom! I don't have time to change that! I have kids!

Our cruising ground is the upper middle Chesapeake Bay. Within a day's sail, we can reach St Michaels to the south if the wind is right, and all the way up the C&D canal. And of course points in between. We are based out of Middle River, MD

Our mission is simple. To share with others challenges of sailing, while trying to raise a family. These are our stories and adventures.
