Brain science, consciousness issues from the viewpoint of the universe as a natural symbolic system. I am a brain and consciousness researcher. I spent 4 years in the PhD program at Emory University in behavioral neuroscience and evolutionary psychology, but left to write a book on the symbolic universe: "The Textbook of the Universe: The Genetic Ascent to God" which I finally completed 7 years later in 2003 after writing many papers and filling thousands of pages of notes on synchronicities--which included a unique methodology for experimentally testing synchronicities and ranking them from my previous papers and years of collecting information on synchronicities. I also included a comprehensive framework for understanding them, and interpreting what they actually are related to anthropic cosmology, etc. The methodology was reproduced by Gary Schwartz at the university of Arizona and compiled into a book "Supersynchronicity"
