My channel gets its name from the Serpent of the Biblical creation myth, which read as mythology, reveals that knowledge carries the burden of suffering, but also the gift of meaning. Belief that the stories in mythology are literal is very harmful and destroys any true meaning they hold. Read literally, the Snake showed the humans the truth, and God tried to keep it from them, so who's the real Devil? But religion doesn't stop at God. Your government, your heroes, your cherished beliefs, can all be forms of dogma. Nothing is holy, and question everything, always. 🐍
