Nida Mahmoed is first Muslim poetess, who did poetry against Taliban’s misogyny. As a 16-year-old High School student, Nida wrote, and self-published her first poetry collection "Broken Women of the Mountains". She got fame for her poetry against honor killing and Taliban, which is really courageous act for a young woman in Pakistan.

Mahmoed has been nominated for The Freedom Plow Award for Poetry and Activism'17 & mentioned twice in the Art & Literature category in The News. Nida's poem “Honor Killing” was mentioned in UDHR Project by United Nations. Nida's poetry isn’t merely to describe the love but it’s the sound of a young woman stretching her wings and taking flight.

Besides all, She is also working for childrens in Sindh, who is facing malnutrition & running campain for Period poverty of Schoolgirls.
