Diagnosed on April 2, 2020 with HR+ (estrogen hormone receptor positive) MBC (metastatic breast cancer, meaning it's stage 4) with mets in my lungs. I tolerated 4 years of Ibrance, Letrozole/Anastrozole and Lupron until after a 2023 elective breast surgery required me to be off targeted therapy longer than expected to recover from unanticipated surgical complications. Progression was found in my bones to have spread in my ribs and spine on February 2024's PET scan, and I'm currently starting my first new treatment since stopping Ibrance in February 2024. CURRENT TREATMENT: Lupron (1 monthly hormone blocking injection) along with these new medications: Faslodex (2 monthly hormone blocking injections), TRUQAP (approved November 2023 for oral targeted therapy), and infusions of Zometa to help strengthen my bones. I want my channel to be about LIVING with metastatic cancer. Modern medicine is making that possible!
