Hi! I'm ÓDonovan. Welcome! I don't make any videos (so far), so this channel is entirely about the videos I enjoy. "Irish" is the online nickname I've had almost 30 years. In the early 1990s, I was on MU*s (MUSHes, MUSEs), text-based games, popular before graphics on the internet. On my first day in my first game, I chose the username O'Donovan. I am, by blood, a member of the Clann Ó Donnabháin*. My family lineage is from County Cork (spreading out from Midleton).

Not five minutes after I joined, someone asked me, "Are you Irish?" I said yes (I'm "South Chicago Irish"). He immediately started calling me "Irish" instead of my username. I gave up and took "Irish" as my "alias" (a shorter name people could use to send players private messages). I've been known as "Irish" online, ever since.
